Climate change is causing floods, fires, droughts, food, energy, and environmental insecurity worldwide. Last week, the United States Department of Agriculture, in its report, lowered expectations for American harvests, for example. COP30 will be held this year in Brasil, in the Amazon, in the city of Belém do Pará, and we need coordination and a single voice from Brasilian Science, alongside our country's private sector.

A long-standing dream, where we addressed the need for investment in Brasilian research, has always been to attract resources from Private Sector in partnership with public agencies, our universities, agronomic institutes, and Embrapa (Brasilian Agricultural Research Institute).

Next November, Brasil will have the world not only looking at our country, but with its body, soul, and brains looking exactly from here, from Belém do Pará, at ourselves and at the world.

For COP30, with its strong focus on sustainability and climate change within Amazon biome, I believe Embrapa's decision to collaborate with the Private Sector is remarkable and also crucial. This partnership, showcased before global delegations, scientists, and media, highlights an extraordinary commitment at such a significant and strategic event for Brazil and our planet.

Embrapa is inviting  Brasilian Business Sector to collaborate on various initiatives aimed at discussing all Brasilian biomes. This effort will culminate in an exhibition in Belém during COP30, located in the AgriBr space at the Agriculture House within the Embrapa Eastern Amazon Research Centre, adjacent to the Hangar, where COP30 will take place.

Companies will be able to sponsor and participate in Embrapa's actions, and they must be aligned with the objectives of COP30, as we have seen in the mitigation of climate change and the promotion of sustainable agriculture practices.

Sponsors will definitely benefit by associating their brands with this event, gaining high visibility and achieving significant international impact, and enhancing their company image.

Therefore, organisations that wish to participate in COP30 but do not know how, due to not having access to the locations, should urgently contact Embrapa and sign up to be at the Embrapa Amazônia Oriental facilities, very close to the COP30 headquarters.

Participation selection criteria and sponsorship quotas are already available on the Embrapa website.

The program can be accessed through the website.

Hereby, I congratulate the president of Embrapa, Ms. Silvia Massruhá, for this important initiative!

I´d close this article by repeating the wise words attributed to Dom Quixote: “ When we dream in alone, we only dream; but  dreaming together, we trigger a new reality”.

The world's largest Agriculture sector, with the highest level of support and subsidies – the American one – is crying “Help!” to President Trump. A formal letter from the American Soybean Association (ASA), the biggest competitor of Brazil, includes a tone of plead on its text: “Mr. President, you've strongly supported farmers, and farmers have strongly supported you. We need your help."
