The United States is the biggest competitor for Brazilian Agribusiness. However, under the "Trump way of negotiating," which places the Food System at the center of geopolitical warfare, evidence suggests that, under this approach, Brazilian Agribusiness sells more and gains more receptive opening markets than under other governing and negotiating "styles" from our biggest competitor, the USA.

In the very short term, we've increased meat sales to Mexico, also a target of the “Trump style” based on the "Knock Down the Door" tactic towards President  Claudia Sheinbaum, implying "Mexico is mine."

Never in the history of North American Agribusiness has it reached the level of "Zero Soybeans" sales for China.

It's worth remembering. during the previous Trump administration, Brazil's share, compared to the United States, grew in the world's largest soybean market.

So far, China hasn´t purchased any North American soybeans. At the same time, U.S. Agribusinesses that convert raw materials into value, such as coffee, a product which continues to enhance economic value, adding over $40 for each single $ dollar of input.

And, interestingly, on the very day the announcement of heavy tariffs against Brazil was made, China approved 183 Brazilian Coffee Exporters.

By the way, talking of coffee, the price of Arabica rose more than 5% on the New York Stock Exchange last week.

Furthermore, on October 1st, when celebrating the World Coffee Day, Cecafé (Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council) will hold a major event in Rome to promote Brazilian coffee to the world. This event targets Europe and the EFTA countries (Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein, and Iceland), a market of 300 million inhabitants with a GDP exceeding $4.29 trillion. And this European Free Trade Association has signed a Free Trade Agreement with Mercosur last week.

In statements by our Vice-President, Mr Geraldo Alckmin, we've prospects like never before for signing new agreements this year, such as the Mercosur-European Union Agreement, Mercosur-United Arab Emirates Agreement, and agreements with India and Canada.

Regarding Africa, Nobel Prize-winning economist Mr James Robinson, author of "Why Nations Fail," stated to the Brazilian newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo in its Sunday, September 21st edition, in the Economy & Business section:

"The strategy of Trump's tariff policy is terrible. Absolutely terrible! Brazil should reconfigure its relationships and see opportunities in Africa."

In reality, this great power of disruption, the "Trumpstein," an ugly Frankenstein hunting the economy and in the game of world trade, shows that, as always, Everything that Disturbs us, also Moves us Towards!

It's evident that in the Food Trade, an issue always involving the Food Security of nations and people, there's no space for tricks, threats, or embargoes.

To be a Food Seller to the world, Trust is the key Business Card, a brand that honors the agreed-upon commitment.

At this point, the Donald Trump reliability of agreements on critical food issues stands out, positioning him, even indirectly, as a leading figure, enhancing sales of Brazilian Agribusiness, particularly in the context of the European Free Trade Association.

Who could ever have thought: "Trump, being a great Salesman for Brazilian Agribusiness." Funny, but it's true.

This situation has been a catalyst for excellent growth, diversification and movement for Brazilian Agribusiness.

Finally, Conab (the National Supply Company) forecasts a record grain harvest in the 2025/26 Crop Year, expected to exceed 350 million tons.

Certainly, prospects for Biofuels, such as ethanol and biodiesel, as well as the recovery of degraded pasture areas, help explain this positive trend.
